Pearlman first went missing in the East Hollywood area, and then, six months later, her cause of death has been revealed.
On Monday, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner officially ruled the actress’ death a suicide caused by sodium nitrite toxicity.
According to People, the coroner’s report cited “the presence of non-toxic levels of lorazepam, metoclopramide, and codeine” in Pearlman’s system.
“Pearlman failed to return home and has not been seen or heard from since,” police said in a statement at the time she disappeared. “Friends and family fear for her safety.”
