Favourite Restaurant Announced To Close Its Doors Permanently For Customers

Posted on December 23, 2024 by admin

A long standing Uptown restaurant has closed its doors for good. Many are worried this closure could leave a hole that once fed those in need in the City. The King’s Kitchen announced Wednesday it is now closed permanently.

A representative of The King’s Kitchen would not explain why the restaurant closed so suddenly without warning. The restaurant opened in 2010 and fed Charlotte for 14 years. It operated as a non-profit and every dollar made went to feeding the city’s most vulnerable. The King’s Kitchen says 100% of profits went to feeding those in need, and the restaurant regularly held Bible study events. Some Uptown residents said the eatery was often busy, including on the last night it was open.

The King’s Kitchen is owned by the Noble Food & Pursuits organization, which also oversees Noble Smoke and Bossy Buelah’s. A restaurant representative says all King’s Kitchen employees were offered employment elsewhere with parent company.

“We’ve long held two main visions with The King’s Kitchen,” says Founder Jim Noble. “The first was to raise money to feed our community. The second was to provide a Christian-centered job training and discipleship program. We accomplished these goals and much more. I am very proud of what we were able to perform as The King’s Kitchen over time within our community.”

The restaurant is closed for good, but a posted taped to The King’s Kitchen door says Bible study events and feeding the less privileged will continue.
